SPIDER WITH A VIEW

 (one without you)

The sun the ruffled water blowing in my eyes

      it didn't realize

The waves they rose to form a crest then they fell back below

I touched a tear drop falling down

without any place to go

The back drop of the sky another vaster sea

The

looking back at me

The heartbeat of the sun was raining down on me

The ocean, it was blue

Can't help but think that there's no body there

Except you .. only you

A single gull pressed to the sky

See him drifting out alone

Looking between the crusted sands

For she who had already flown

That lonely bird Oh how he flew

Can't help but think that there's no body else

Except you .. There's only you.

The spider took my  teardrop as tho it were but rain

His webbing trembled softly against the window's pane

It was all he had to hold that day

Against the cresting sun

The wistful figure in the glass

Was not the only one

I touched a tear drop falling down

without any place to go

Yes, that spider

he had a view

One without you

Not a very good view

Without you.

Can't help but think that there's no body there

Except you ...There's only you.
