Trip Details:

Pancake Rock

July 17, 2007

Trail starts at Horse Thief Park Trailhead parking lot at the close tunnel between Divide and Cripple Creek.  The parking area is just south of Highway 67 Mile marker 61.

Walk up over the tunnel and into Horse Thief Park.  About 1/2 mile there is a fork to Pancake Rock to the Southwest (uphill).   Trailhead sign states 2 miles to Pancake Rocks (distance may not be accurate, but would you go if they told the trust.  Around trip hiking time approximately 3 hours.

Trailhead Start Sign

Pancake Rock  2 miles: uphill moderate then flat , then slight downhill to the rocks

Many hawks, anthills, woodpeckers.

My speculation is that this is the ending section of the Ring the Peaks trail system.
